OVERVIEW

Made in tribute to the original "Rex" line of instruments sold through mail-order catalogs during the 1930s, '40s, and '50s,

Gretsch's Jim Dandy™ Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar in Frontier Stain - 2711220579 embodies the timeless appeal and essence of those early Gretsch® flat-top guitars while delivering exceptional playability and top-notch sound quality. With a specially-designed slope shoulder body shape and a modest 24.75" scale length, this Jim Dandy™ model offers a compact and comfortable design without sacrificing the volume, projection, and bass response that have made dreadnought guitars so renowned. The X-braced body is expertly constructed with select lightweight laminate tonewoods, providing a perfect mix of vintage, woody tones and reliable durability. Meanwhile, the "C"-shaped neck offers a welcoming feel ideal for hours of old-timey musical inspiration.
